Royole present FlexPai 2-phone with an improved folding screen

Royole, the company behind the early folding FlexPai smartphone, announced the FlexPai 2 and a strategic partnership with fellow Chinese manufacturer ZTE during a livestreamed event.

Under the hood, Royole Flexpai 2 houses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 SoC alongside the X55 5G modem.

Royole hasn't revealed the full details on the new FlexPai 2 foldable phone, but we do know it will come with a large, 7.8-inch external "outie" display with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

As the successor to the world's first foldable phone, Shenzhen-based Royole has now unveiled the FlexPai 2 through an online-only event.

Family shattered after woman, 21, dies
Chloe's aunt wrote: "My attractive , kind hearted 21 year old niece Chloe has passed away from Covid-19". The country's existing stock of about 5,000-8,000 ventilators is inadequate if cases jump as predicted.

The most notable feature about Royole's third-generation Cicada Wing FFD (Fully Flexible Display) on this device is perhaps its much improved bend radius, going from the previous version's 3mm down to just 1mm, while still lasting over 200,000 bends. The Flexpai 2 will certainly likewise have LPDDR5 RAM as well as UFS 3.0 storage space, yet without pointing out ability as the phone's launch is still a while away - in Q2 2020 - as well as information could transform. Unfortunately, details regarding its battery capacity are still unknown, but that is to be expected since there is still time for the device officially launches. This new flexible panel features almost 100 micro nanomaterials that improve the strain recovery and "layer peeling".

According to Royole, the new Cicada Wing will have 1.3x better color gamut and 500x better contrast than a high-end LCD. On the other hand, the display panel can be folded in multiple directions and even rolled on its own, showcasing the advancements in the flexible display field.

The FlexPai 2 is quite similar to its predecessor in terms of form factor but comes with an improved hinge and display.
