Fauci Interviewed By NBA Star Stephen Curry On Instagram

With his season suspended indefinitely, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was given some hope for the future by Dr. Anthony Fauci, a key member of the White House's coronavirus task force and a former NY high school point guard, who believes America will be better prepared if and when another COVID-19 outbreak occurs. Among the celebrities who commented on it were former President Barack Obama, Justin Bieber, Common and Heat forward Andre Iguodala.

"My question is what needs to happen in terms of the numbers or what metric are you looking at to be able to then determine at mass large gatherings, sporting events, those type of things, are OK to revisit as not a threat to continue the spread of the virus?" What you need is you need to see the trajectory of the curve start to come down.

Fauci went on to say that self-isolation not only protects individuals themselves, but prevents them from unknowingly passing it to groups at higher risk, like the elderly and immuno-compromised populations. "The United States is a big country, we have so many different regions, like New York City right now is having a awful time, and yet there are places in the country that are doing really quite well". It's particularly bad in New York City right now, yet there are places in the country that are doing really quite well.

'Once you get infected, can you get re-infected?' Fauci asked rhetorically. "So it's not an unreasonable assumption to think that it's going to go down, but you don't want to count on it".

"I myself, I had flu-like symptoms, two days before the National Basketball Association shutdown, and I got a test pretty much right away", Curry said.

Prince Charles, 71, reveals he has tested positive for coronavirus
Despite the rising number of cases, most who contract the virus suffer only mild symptoms before making a recovery. The released statement indicated that Prince Charles and Camila are now in self-isolation at Balmoral in Scotland.

The NBA season has been on hiatus since March 11, when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus.

According to Cedric Thornton of Black Enterprise, Curry will partner with Lineage Logistics Holdings L.L.C.to launch the "Share A Meal" campaign, which aims to give 100 million meals to help out those affected amid the COVID-19 outbreak. He has advised a number of US presidents on HIV/AIDS, as well as other domestic and global health issues.

Fauci explained that while only a "very, very small minority" of young people could become seriously ill with coronavirus, there is still serious risks involved on top of the likelihood of spreading it to older people who ware more susceptible to the infection.
