There were now five community cases related to Auckland's Marist College. The school is closed and has been closed all week and all students and staff are being managed as close contacts.

New Zealand police are responsible for the maintenance of law and order during an emergency, the National CDEM Plan 2015 says.

The difference between levels three and four is the scale of transmission. They will have the power to stop people in public places and educate them on the need to observe the need to stay at home.
