Woody Allen Memoir Released By Arcade Publishing

Well, the 84-year old filmmaker got a publisher for his book, as Arcade Publishing released the memoir today, the Associated Press reported.

"The decision to cancel Mr. Allen's book was a hard one", responded Hachette in a statement.

Dylan and her brother Ronan Farrow both criticised Hachette's original decision to publish the book.

Soon-Yi Previn (left) has previously slammed Mia Farrow, her adoptive mother and husband's ex-wife. I see myself standing amongst them defiantly.

"At the very early stages of our new relationship, when lust reigns supreme... we couldn't keep our hands off each other", he wrote in his book of Soon-Yi, who is 35 years his junior.

While Allen writes at length about his breakup with Farrow, he remembers warmly their films together, among them "Hannah and Her Sisters" and "Broadway Danny Rose", and calls her an actress of versatility and depth.

The filmmaker once again denies any wrongdoing in the postscript, writing, "I never laid a finger on Dylan, never did anything to her that could be even misconstrued as abusing her; it was a total fabrication from start to finish".

Dylan Farrow has Woody Allen molested her when she was a child.

Woody Allen has written that he "would welcome Dylan [Farrow] with open arms if she'd ever want to reach out", in his recently published memoir Apropos of Nothing. "I was in a room full of people watching TV mid-afternoon". The Academy Award-wining auteur says he was immediately captivated by the California-born beauty, who he described as "adorable, funny, totally original in style, real, fresh".

Tokyo Olympics 2020 postponement latest
Irish Olympic chief executive Sherrard said he recognised that Japan had been put in a hard position. Pound also told USA Today the ramifications of postponing the Games would be "immense".

As for how well Woody Allen's memoir will sell, that is unclear.

The unexpected announcement of the book's release Monday comes more than two weeks ahead of its originally scheduled April 7 launch from Hachette's Grand Central Publishing subsidiary.

Dylan called the memoir "deeply upsetting", while Ronan, a journalist who also recently released a book with the company, accused the publisher of concealing Allen's autobiography from him and its staff.

Woody Allen and Soon-Yi reportedly began their relationship in 1991.

The acclaimed book further delved into the #MeToo movement.

"We as publishers prefer to give voice to a respected writer and filmmaker", editor Jeannette Seaver said in a statement to AFP. Some disagreed with the publisher's decision, like author Stephen King who is anxious about freedom of speech stating, "It's who gets muzzled next that worries me".

"Hachette read the book and loved it and despite me being a toxic pariah and menace to society, they vowed to stand firm should things hit the fan", he wrote.

Arcade Publishing has a history of putting out some provocative material from JFK conspiracy theorist Jim Garrison and Alan Dershowitz, the controversial O.J. Simpson attorney, political commentator, and frequent defender of Donald Trump.
