Hanks is not the only celebrity to have tested positive for the virus.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are on the mend and recovering well after contracting coronavirus earlier this month.

His words also served as a reminder of the importance of everyone remaining at home and indoors during the coronavirus crisis.

On Monday, the Forrest Gump star said that it had been two weeks since their first symptoms and finally, they were feeling better.

"We can figure this out", he concluded.

The Castaway star was set to play Elvis' Svengali-like manager Colonel Tom Parker, who helped the rocker rise to astounding fame, only to abandon him as his commercial prospects waned in the 1960s.

Actress and singer Rita Wilson showed off another side to her musical repertoire while riding out the virus stuck inside. She captioned the post "Quarantine Stir Crazy".

The actor's messages have become a social media sensation, particularly one that revealed his unorthodox approach to using Vegemite, after which he wrote: "I have learned not to spread my Vegemite so thick".

Over the weekend, Wilson shared her own update on social media, uploading an Instagram video of herself impressively rapping Naughty By Nature's "Hip Hop Hooray".
