James Gunn Shares Hopeful Groot Artwork Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Taking to Twitter, the director decides to address fans questions about Alpha Groot.

While he's no stranger to big blockbusters and space adventures, James Gunn says he isn't interested in tackling the world of Star Wars.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn made a decision to share some artwork of Groot to lift some spirits as the world goes through the coronavirus outbreak. In one other interview when he was requested about an replace on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he acknowledged that after Groot, Baby Groot, and Teenage Groot, the third movie within the franchise will see one other model of the fan favorite character. To which Gunn replied that he has no thought what's Alpha Groot.

Losing Sense of Smell and Taste Could Be a Symptom of Coronavirus
However, some experts have warned if you suddenly lose your sense of smell then you may want to self-quarantine immediately. He advised that people in the United Kingdom should self isolate if they experience these new symptoms.

"Haha no idea. Maybe he just means the most awesome Groot ever?" the director wrote in a tweet responding to fans questions about Alpha Groot. Vin Diesel lately teased his look within the upcoming threequel, cryptically teasing the introduction of Alpha Groot. There notably hasn't been an official confirmation from Marvel or director Taika Waititi, and so far, the only source for that information has been, well, Vin Diesel. James Gunn is the only one with concrete answers at the moment, as he is responsible for writing the script. MCU fans are eager for any news from the Guardians as the movie should have already been filmed and completed by now. Had Gunn not been fired and then rehired by Disney, the movie would probably be close to hitting theaters by now. But in an interesting twist of fate, if he had been preparing for the launch, that launch would likely have been postponed or moved directly to VOD.

Even Chris Pratt, who plays the star lord, has reacted to the inclusion of Thor, saying that he was not going to be a part of the third installment of Guardians of Galaxy. Luckily, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige did settle at Comic-Con that they're working on Guardians 3, even if it is not one of the five films registered for Phase 4. Anyway, production is supposed to start later this year, so we hope to find out soon.
