Animal Crossing Players Are Recreating Scenes From The Lighthouse

The glitch lets you duplicate any item that you can place on top of something - like cat grass, or an hourglass, or the Nintendo Switch you get in the mail when you first boot up the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons producer Hisashi Nogami and director Aya Kyogoku hope that players will use the game as an "escape" from stressful situations in their real lives (via The Verge). Tom Nook's island adventure has conquered the United Kingdom physical game sales charts with megaton numbers that dwarf all previous games in the franchise.

Animal Crossing memes explore the breadth of content and comedy from the latest edition of the Nintendo video game. There are no defined objectives to the game; instead, you assume the role of a human character in a new town of friendly anthropomorphic animals and spend your days fishing, bug-catching and fruit-picking, among other outdoorsy activities. This isn't a new trick to the series, but it's nice to see that it's remained in New Horizons for anyone who wants to take advantage of it. Total combined sales could be far higher as the entire world battens down the hatches amid COVID-19 and needs something bright and sunny to distract it. As well as the flawless game to counter what is going on in the world today.
