Harvey Weinstein Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for the novel coronavirus in prision.

Weinstein, who turned 68 last Thursday is being isolated at Wende Correctional Facility in Western New York, officials said.

New York is now the epicenter of the United States outbreak of the coronavirus with a confirmed 15,168 confirmed cases today, per the New York Times.

Weinstein's spokesperson Juda Engelmayer has told The Daily Beast that "our team. has not heard anything like that yet". "I can't tell you what I don't know", she added. Representatives for Weinstein said they were unable to confirm that he has contracted the virus and New York State's Department of Corrections says it "cannot confirm an individual's medical record".

Kanika also said, "At this page, I would like to urge you all to practice self-isolation and get tested if you have the signs". Authorities have also traced those who attended at least three other gatherings the singer attended after coming to Lucknow .


As the global pandemic spreads and surges, NY state has taken the biggest hit domestically of the ever expanding coronavirus. Already around 40 inmates at Rikers have reportedly been found positive for COVID-19 in the past week, coinciding with Weinstein's time in that NYC Hellhole.

Just after his conviction, the former Hollywood mogul complained of chest pains and was taken to Bellevue Hospital instead of Rikers Island.

The convicted rapist was sentenced to 23 years in prison last month following his conviction on two sex charges. He remained there for more than one week and underwent a heart procedure before eventually moving to the infirmary unit at Riker's.
