Tom Hanks 'Not Doing Great But OK' While Battling Coronavirus, Says Sister

The 63-year-old actor and his wife Rita Wilson were diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus while they were in Australia, where Tom had been shooting Baz Luhrmann.

"I have contacted my brother". He's not great, but still okay. [Am I] shocked? No. He's an actor, not a god (but) healthcare in Australia is good.

Benoiton was speaking from Italy, which has been on total lockdown as the coronavirus continues to spread.

He continued: "But the way that he came right out with it, which by the way I don't think he needed to do, but he said, 'This is a real thing, ' and he also said, 'We are going to be OK, ' was very powerful and lovely move on his part". The White House had to inform the President that Tom and Rita were actually quite well, and that the word "discharge" actually means "to tell (someone) officially that they can leave a place or situation." .
