Ireland's 6 Nations Game Against Italy Officially Postponed

Ireland's Six Nations matches in the women's championship and the under-20s game on the same weekend have also been called off.

It said it would "immediately begin to work with our Six Nationsl partners to look at the possibility of rescheduling the matches and would hope to have an update on this in the coming days".

In Italy, concerns over the spread of the coronavirus have led to the postponement of club matches in rugby union's Pro 14 and football's Serie A. Ireland's Six Nations match with Italy in Dublin on March 7 has been postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) announced yesterday (Feb 27).

To date, there are no confirmed cases of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) in Ireland however the HSE has confirmed that 90 suspected cases of Coronavirus have been tested in Ireland thus far.
