Fury says 'Let's go A.J.' though Wilder first has rematch option

Joshua is now the reigning WBA "super", IBF and WBO heavyweight champion after his victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in their rematch in Saudi Arabia in December.

Tyson Fury, of England, celebrates after defeating Deontay Wilder during a WBC heavyweight championship boxing match Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, in Las Vegas.

Either of those fights would inevitably bring huge riches, as evidenced by the fact that Fury versus Wilder II broke the heavyweight gate receipt record in Vegas, generating nearly $17 million in ticket sales. The Briton earned a seventh-round stoppage win over Wilder, handing the American his first career loss when the towel was thrown in.

The vast majority of observers believed Fury was the rightful victor of that first fight.

Khan said: "That's another fight that is out there for me, just like people are talking about the Fury and AJ fight". I don't think anyone wants to see a third fight.

"I'll be honest with you", he said.

Forbes reported in the week of the fight that the average resale price for a ticket on online marketplace SeatGeek came in at an eye-watering US$1,242. "There's some hurdles to overcome on the broadcasting, but nothing too much".

"If we can go straight into the Fury fight this summer, that is everybody's preference". We had a similar position with Andy Ruiz against Anthony Joshua. He stated after the struggle that he expects Wilder to invoke the rematch clause in their contract to set up their trilogy. He was in a different class when I saw him box and I always genuinely believed he was going to be champion of the world.

After one way traffic, no one would blame Wilder for taking his time to recover from his injuries before making a decision.

Fans and Wilder can bank on another rematch with Fury and eventually, a showdown with Joshua.

"He phoned me yesterday, we had a good conversation on the phone", he said on Sky Sports News.

"What a fight. What a fighter you are".

Ruiz dropped Joshua four times in their first fight and upset him by seventh-round TKO on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in NY.

Fury used his reach advantage to continually beat Wilder to the punch.

Joshua is expected to fight Kubrat Pulev in June in a mandatory defence of his IBF title, with Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur's stadium possibly hosting the contest.

Not once, from the moment he walked into the casino resort to his wonderful performance which will be etched into boxing history, did Fury show vulnerability or nerves. Both of those things will happen.
