Ben Simmons' Back Injury Could Be Serious

The Sixers took a beat down from the Bucks Saturday night, but that seems secondary to what else took place in Milwaukee.

But a few minutes into the game's first quarter, Simmons appeared to tweak something, and when he checked out, he gingerly made his way into the locker room.

Simmons underwent an initial evaluation on his back injury in Philly on Sunday and is scheduled to have more tests, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

ESPN reported that the Sixers are anxious by the nature of the injury and also anticipate to have a more clear image complying with an examination on Sunday.

It was announced on ABC's broadcast of the game that the plan was for Simmons to go do this and receive treatment throughout the contest when he wasn't on the floor.

Simmons was effective early in the game, scoring five points in just five minutes before having to be removed him from the game.
