Sunny Hindustani from Bathinda wins Indian Idol 11

Apart from the trophy, Sunny Hindustani also won a grand cash prize of Rs 25 lakh, a auto and a contract with T-Series. The first runner-up was Rohit while Ankona was declared the second runner-up.

The 11th edition of "Indian Idol" found its victor in Sunny Hindustani as the grand finale culminated with much fanfare.

The top finalists Sunny Hindustani from Bhatinda, Rohit Raut from Latur, Ankona Mukherjee from Kolkota, Ridham Kalyan from Amritsar, and Adriz Ghosh from Kolkata perform on the last day of the show.

Ecstatic and overwhelmed with his win, Sunny Hindustani said, "I had not thought of getting through the first round also, leave alone winning the competition". Akona was the 2nd runner up of the show, and she was awarded a cash prize of ₹5 lakhs.

In a fitting tribute, the makers of the reality show had ensured that Sunny's mother was present on the stage when her son's name was announced the new Indian Idol. He also mesmerised the judges and audience with his singing and got emotional during the finale episode of Indian Idol. The victor also got a auto and got signed to sing a song in an upcoming T-Series film. Ridham Kalyan was in the 4th position and Adriz finished in the fifth position. Contestants for Indian Idol 11 were selected from different places of India and from different backgrounds, but they all had one passion in life - music. The show is hosted by Aditya Narayan where the contestants are scrutinised by a panel of three judges including Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani. Former Indian Idol victor Salman Ali was also present for the finale and sang along with Sunny Hindustani. The Grand Finale of Indian Idol 11 concluded a couple of minutes ago with much fanfare and aplomb.
