Tesla Cybertruck Launching In December … As An R/C Hot Wheels Toy

American toy maker Mattel in 1968 introduced the brand of Hot Wheels to everyone. The Hot Wheels website describes its construction as "off-road and rugged terrain capable"--a claim buoyed by all-wheel drive that can switch between two modes--so it should be good to go even if you plan on taking it for a spin in spots not as evenly paved as your driveway. It has two driven wheels and two drive modes: Chill or Sport.

Both of the models were designed the help of Tesla.

Tesla also is cashing in on the viral blunder with a bulletproof T-shirt announced in January. Mattel says on its website.

The 1:64 Cybertruck comes with a pretty cheap remote, but only costs $20!

The smaller and much more affordable version is just three inches long, which is basically what you'd expect from a traditional Hot Wheels mini model, and it can achieve an "up to 500mph scale speed", which someone who is better than me at math can figure out what that translates to.

For those lucky enough to get their hands on them, this set of toys offers a good opportunity for anyone to own a Cybertruck without forking out the $40,000 (£30,800) for a life-size version.

The smaller 3-inch Hot Wheels Cybertruck is the same size as classic Hot Wheels and fits on Hot Wheels tracks.

Pre-orders for both trucks are open now, with first deliveries expected in December 2020. The model also has functioning head- and taillights as well as a "reusable cracked window vinyl sticker" which recalls an infamous incident at the model's unveiling.

Base specs including a battery range of at least 400km, a towing capacity of more than 1500kg and a 6.5s 0-60mph (97kmh) time.

San Francisco: Cybertruck Owners Club has claimed that the pre-orders for the Tesla Cybertruck have reached five lakh, an average of nearly 6,000 each day since November 2019. If the Model Y is to have more demand than all other vehicles combined, we should remember how much that now represents.

In November, Musk reported that more than 200,000 people have placed deposits and said the vehicle would arrive in about two years.
