Mike Bloomberg: The Incredible Shrinking Candidate

Mike Bloomberg: The Incredible Shrinking Candidate

And assume Biden's solid and energetic debate performance was enough for him to win in SC a week later, but Sanders finishes second.

Sanders has performed well in recent national polls while at the same time he has repeatedly beat back claims he is too progressive to win against President Donald Trump.

She followed this statement by assuring viewers she would still support Bloomberg if he was the Democratic nominee. He is not the oldest candidate in the field; both Bernie Sanders and Mike Bloomberg are 78 years old.

Warren was bold nearly immediately out of the gate Wednesday night, attempting to insert herself into the very first question - which was directed at Sanders -- before leaping in to accuse Bloomberg of calling women "fat broads" and "horse-faced lesbians".

"If that's the only two options we have heading into this contest against Donald Trump, we're in trouble", Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., said during a town hall at USC hosted by Fox 11 News.

Democratic voters feel generally positive about all of their top candidates running for president, but they have only moderate confidence that their party's nomination process is fair, according to a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

It timed its announcement to impact both Nevada and numerous Hispanic-heavy states voting on "Super Tuesday" on March 3. Yet Biden still remained the leader until last month.

"We've got to wake up as a party", said Buttigieg.

Roger Federer to miss French Open after having knee surgery
His sole French Open triumph came in 2009, and he was knocked out of last month's Australian Open at the semifinal stage. This year's Wimbledon runs from June 29-July 12 with the Tokyo Olympics tennis event following from July 25-August 2.

Miranda added that, if elected, Biden will work with Congress to promote comprehensive immigration reform and to protect so-called "Dreamers", or people brought to the USA illegally as children - both issues where Biden's views overlap with his top Democratic presidential contenders.

Biden had poor showings in Iowa and New Hampshire and has faced questions about whether his best days as a politician are in the past. And Sanders wasn't asked at all about his numerous votes against modest and reasonable gun-control measures supported by most Democrats. Biden slammed Sanders for voting to kill the 2007 immigration reform bill, but none of the other candidates took the opportunity to pile on. He greeted the crowd saying, "So, how was your night last night?"

Biden's broadside at Sanders came as the campaign released a web video of Sanders telling a radio caller after the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre that allowing people to sue gun manufacturers would do no good. "I think this is the Elizabeth Warren that we are all used to seeing but maybe haven't seen in a little bit".

But, boy, was that a shootout Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

Bloomberg came into Wednesday night's debate with a target on his back after outspending every candidate combined since he launched his 2020 presidential campaign in November, almost a year after most other candidates began vying for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Warren pressed Bloomberg at the debate to say how many nondisclosure agreements his company has signed preventing women from talking about complaints of harassment.

"I have really had it with billionaires, regardless of party, who think that the rules don't apply to them", Warren said.
