Ben Affleck: Divorcing Jennifer Garner is 'the biggest regret of my life'

Affleck told how he drank "relatively normally for a long time", but that he started doing it more when his marriage to Garner "was falling apart".

Ben Affleck has called his divorce from Jennifer Garner his biggest regret in a revealing new interview. He has actually stated that it was due to problems with the production of The Justice League.

In a new interview actor Ben Affleck has made a decision to open up completely about his addictions, his marriage and his career.

This was after Affleck had reprised the role of Batman in the critical failure and commercial disappointment Justice League, which followed the movie in which Affleck debuted as Batman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"Shame is really toxic", the 47-year-old said.

Affleck will next be seen playing a former Basketball player in "The Way Back" who has been struggling with alcoholism and is given an offer to the coach the team that he used to play for.

When I got to the movie theater to see Batman do Batman shit, this is what I'm talking about.

Speaking with the paper regarding the fib Tuesday, Affleck claimed, 'I think I took pleasure in tinkering Extra.'.

In his latest interview, Ben Affleck explained why he constantly lied about his massive back tattoo being fake. He has four films set to be released this year (The Way Back, The Last Thing He Wanted, Deep Water, and The Last Duel) and he sat down with the New York Times to talk about he's navigating his life post-Batman, post-divorce, and post-relapse. 'This was 2015, 2016. "There is no positive byproduct of shame", he shared. My drinking, of course, created more marital problems. "It's just stewing in a toxic, disgusting feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing". The two first started dating in 2004 and married the next year, later welcoming three kids - daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, and son Samuel, 7.

Affleck would have probably gone on to star in The Batman had he been in a better place, but it seems like the actor was still struggling at the time.

The Batman will now be a very different movie, with Reeves writing his own script alongside screenwriter Mattson Tomlin. I know that some people disagree with my opinion, but I wish I could have obtained at least one independent film with this version of Dark Knight before Affleck retired.
