Braves' Nick Markakis says every Astro 'needs a beating' for sign stealing

Add former All-Star Nick Markakis to a long list of Major League Baseball players who've verbally slammed the Houston Astros for stealing signs electronically.

Major League Baseball is now dealing with the biggest scandal it's had on its hands since it spent a couple of decades turning a blind eye to countless players sticking needles full of steroids into their ass in the locker room courtesy of the Houston Astros, who were busted past year for coming up with a blatantly illegal strategy to steal signs on their way to securing the first World Series championship in the history of the franchise in 2017.

"I didn't think Markakis talked too much", the 70-year-old said.

On Monday, Trout spoke about his thoughts on the Astros, saying he "lost respect" for their players and felt the punishments levied against the organization were not harsh enough. "There's a lot of people that were hurt by it, and it was wrong".

Chinese health report says 80% of virus cases have been mild
The death rate is lower than for SARS and MERS, diseases caused by coronaviruses related to the one that causes COVID-19. The death rate for those confirmed cases has been 2.3 percent - 2.8 percent for males versus 1.7 percent for females.

"We always want the investigations to go as quickly as possible". Everybody's out there competing and trying to do things the right way. "I'm thankful they didn't let me buy a team". They're going to be able to go out there and compete with no ramifications at all, which is wrong. And that's the way we've got to live with it.

"The way he handled the situation, he should be embarrassed of himself", Markakis said. The Astros apologized last week for their actions in 2017 during a widely-panned press conference, but some, including Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger, the 2019 National League MVP, and Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, the 2016 NL MVP, argue the Astros should be stripped of their World Series title. However, not many have voiced their anger as bluntly as Nick Markakis. "No shortcuts. I know how hard this game is, I know how hard preparing for this game is". To see something like that, it's damaging to baseball.

"What they did was bulls-t".

"You can take my shirt off", he said. "They should have some ramifications for what they did".
