Mino Raiola claims that Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United this summer

Mino Raiola claims that Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United this summer

Chelsea have been in brilliant shape this season under the tutelage of Frank Lampard and welcome struggling Man United at Stamford Bridge in a defining EPL clash on Monday night, February 17.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Paul Pogba is "desperate" to play for the club again, despite once more being linked with a return to Italy.

Scholes believes the Portugal worldwide could prove to be a shrewd addition, saying of Solskjaer's options in the engine room: "I think [Nemanja] Matic has done really well in the last few weeks".

However, the 30-year-old did not join Solskjaer's squad in Spain for its mid-season break, with United exercising caution due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in China.

'He knows he has to work hard now to get back to his best.

"He'll be involved with us [at Chelsea] and he'll travel down with us".

"Now he's out of that two week period, precaution and just a precaution. let's see if he's involved or not".

"We've kept in touch with him and of course we've done our own programme, he's done his, and it was always going be a case of him having to integrate having been out in China".

Solskjaer was asked about comments made by midfielder Fred in a recent interview where the Brazilian said that the team lacked cohesiveness.

Manchester United have also failed to secure a win in their last three Premier League outings following defeats by Liverpool FC and Burnley before a goalless stalemate with Wolves.

Few would have expected it to sign Nigeria global Ighalo, though, given his previous Premier League experience came with Watford between 2014 and 2017. "I don't see him starting many games".

The Serie A giants are keen though, as Agnelli is looking to enlist 'a new Ronaldo', IE a younger player with greater potential for the sponsors in the medium to long term. I think he still needs to bring goals and assists to his game, but you'd have to put him in there.

But Solskjaer insisted it was necessary to strengthen United's goal-shy attack following Rashford's injury.

"Paul's an important player for us, but we've also learned so much about the others", he added.

"When we got the chance to get Odion, on a loan, that was for us a goalscorer, top scorer [at the] African Nations Cup previous year, we think, yeah, he can help the club".

Nonetheless, Juventus' dream' has now become a reality, and it seems like previous year, Paul Pogba will be in the headlines once again.
