Elton John forced to cut concert short due to pneumonia

The New Zealand Herald reported that Elton told his fans earlier that he had walking pneumonia and his voice was shot, but that he didn't want to miss the show.

This performance was a part of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which the singer has been performing on since September 8th, 2018.

Earlier in his set, Sir Elton told the sold-out crowd he had been diagnosed with walking pneumonia on Sunday.

"Elton John was disappointed and deeply upset at having to end his Auckland concert early last night", his promoter said.

After leaving the stage, members of the audience and fans around the world tweeted out their support and love for the "Rocket Man" singer. "I gave it all I had", he added.

The 72-year-old lost his voice nearly two hours into his set at Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium, while performing his hit Daniel, and informed fans, "I can't sing".

Elton's admission was welcomed with love and support from fan thanking him for still putting on an extraordinary show. Later, as he attempted to sing "Daniel", he realised he had no voice left and was escorted off stage. I am eternally grateful.

Healey said Juul "sold and shipped" its e-cigarette products to underage kids in MA through the company's website. For her part, Healey said the lawsuit is "more than just about money, though we do need money for treatment".

He is scheduled to perform at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium again on Tuesday and Thursday, however, it was not immediately clear whether the shows would go ahead.

According to the BBC, it is less severe than other types of pneumonia, with most sufferers not requiring medical attention.

Sir Elton is slated to perform this Saturday, February 22, at Melbourne's AAMI Park, at C.ex Coffs International Stadium in Coffs Harbour on February 25 and 26, and Sunshine Coast Stadium on March 3 and 4. He won an Oscar for best original song for his theme song for the movie "Rocketman".
