Josh Norman couldn't be more excited about being cut by Washington

According to Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo, Washington is releasing cornerback Josh Norman effective immediately.

The move will save the Redskins $12.43 million in cap space, money that could be used in part to sign another cornerback.

Washington is releasing the veteran four years after signing him to a massive five-year, $75 million contract in 2016. If the Jets can land Norman at even half his yearly salary and for only one season, it would be a solid high risk, high reward option for a secondary in desperate need of help. To no surprise, he has since struggled to provide them with any bang for their buck after registering just 48 receptions for 507 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games during his two seasons with the team.

But you know what, it's so amusing , I'm actually not a Bridezilla, I call myself a Bridechilla. "I take it very seriously". Lionel asked Katy if she was serious, to which Katy said that perhaps they will be somewhere on the B-list.

Rivera coached Norman from 2012 through 2015 while they were both with the Panthers.

During Norman's time with the Redskins, there was a consistent discussion of whether the coaching staff was using him correctly. He also was asked to play different styles than what made him successful in Carolina, where he played a lot of cover-2 zone. He did not start in their final six games, suggesting his spell with Washington was coming towards an end.

In my opinion, the ONLY way I would bring Norman in would be if he is willing to take a 1-year deal worth a very small amount of cash and that is unlikely to happen. Likely, despite his poor play in Washington, Norman will get that chance.
