Leaked Plot For Morbius Connects the Movie With Spider-Man and Venom

Aside from the upcoming sequel to Venom, one of the most anticipated projects that Sony has been working on is their adaptation of Morbius, the Living Vampire. "UNTITLED SONY/MARVEL pic now set for October 8, 2021". The information comes from the Jeff Bock-run Twitter account Exhibitor Relations Co.

It not only teased some kind of connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by introducing Michael Keaton as his character Adrian Toomes from Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the Morbius trailer also showed an image of Spider-Man in the form of graffiti. The Sinister Six would include a group of six supervillains that would include both the villains that have featured in the previous spider-man movies.

He tweeted yesterday: "Sony's web continues to grow".

A new plot leak on Reddit has shed even more details on this, stating that the poster has been edited to look more like Tom Holland's Spider-Man for the film.

The first was Venom starring Tom Hardy (which released October 5, 2018) and the next is Morbius starring Jared Leto (July 31, 2020) followed by Venom 2 (October 2, 2020).

For background, Sony owns the rights to the Spider-Man universe from Marvel, while Disney's Marvel Studios takes care of the Avengers side of things.

Sony has several Marvel movies now announced in development, including Venom 2, Kraven the Hunter, Silver Sable, Black Cat, Madame Web, and Sinister Six. Although, there are many other characters in the Spidey family that Sony could potentially make a film about that we haven't heard of. Maybe Wall-Crawler could have its personal solo film earlier than it crosses paths with Spider-Man.

Since Sony launched Venom, followers have speculated when and the way the studio's personal Spider-Man universe would intersect with the MCU. What movie do you want to see in that October 8, 2021 release slot? We don't know what this movie will be based on though.
