Joel Embiid Speaks On His Love-Hate Relationship With Sixers Fans

Joel Embiid Speaks On His Love-Hate Relationship With Sixers Fans

Amid criticism of National Basketball Association championship hopefuls the 76ers, Embiid was the target of boos in Sunday's 118-111 win over the Chicago Bulls in Philadelphia, where the All-Star responded by shushing the crowd following a three-pointer.

It looks like if the Philadelphia 76ers continue to struggle, and Joel Embiid keeps taking shots at the fans, they won't hesitate to turn on him.

The 76ers aren't about to let Embiid go, and Embiid probably doesn't want to leave.

"That's how I used to be and I was dominating that way". I like Embiid's talent but the league is changing and the center position's future to me is the kid in Denver, who can take 8 shots and end up with 13 assists, 10 rebounds, and 15 points. I gotta do a better job.

"Sources I have spoken to around the league painted this picture (and [ESPN's Brian] Windhorst mentions it): It's too hard to get two elite players, trading one (and certainly not getting full value back) is the absolute last resort", wrote Helin.

Chinese GP to be called off due to coronavirus
Hosting fees also make up a significant portion of Formula One's revenues, with some races paying as much as $40 million a year. More than 1,100 people have been killed in China by the virus, which has been named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization.

Clearly Embiid seems to think he is becoming the villain.

"I love my city", Embiid said. I been here for a long time now. I can't wait for the future, especially this year.

"If it helps us win, and if it helps me help the team in a better way to win games, then I'm going to be that guy".

Joel Embiid has said this before; he knows that his smack-talking on the court and social media trolling off it that endears him to Sixers fans now would be things they will hate about him someday - that's the arc of fame.
