The Division 2 'Warlords of New York' Expansion Launches in March

If you'd like to learn more about The Division 2: Warlords of NY, you can check out Samuel's in-depth preview right here. New gear and weapons are on the cards, as well as a bunch of changes to the UI, gear systems, Dark Zones and level progression. All players must be at Level 30 and have reached World Tier 5 to join The Division 2 Warlords of NY. As it's set in the summertime, we won't be seeing the same snow-lined streets that featured in the original game.

Ubisoft has announced The Division 2 expansion "Warlords of NY". The zone we did get to see recaptured the tall looming feeling of The Division 1's NY, and it was fascinating to see how Ubisoft managed to progress the timeline of this world over eight months. "It's their responsibility to resolve this issue". Scurr confirmed that this "covers four named zones: Battery Park, Civic Centre, Two Bridges and the Financial District".

"New York is under threat". Set in a new area of NY, the DLC will see you embarking upon a manhunt for ex-Division Agent Aaron Keener, who's gone rogue. You'll have to defeat all of them in order to reach him. Each Rogue Agent has their own unique back story and skill-which you gain once you take them down.

The return of the Sticky Bomb.

The update will also include an RPG overhaul that will allow you to navigate and manage your gear inventory. You'll now always see roll ranges for each stat when you're looking at gear, god rolls return to enhance readability, and the gear recalibration system has been streamlined with clearer item and stat usefulness indicators. If you want that skill, you'll need to take them down to get it. All players who purchase the expansion will receive a Level 30 boost to jump right into the new content. You'll need to be level 30 and World Tier 5 to play the new expansion. As such, each edition of the game will come with a Level 30 boost.

The expansion will also introduce Seasons, which area three-month-long themed endgame event. "But if you're familiar with those areas in New York City, then you're going to see famous places like Chinatown, Wall Street, and maybe even the Statue of Liberty off the shore".

Ubisoft promises unique stories for each target, as well as a variety of other seasonal activities and related rewards, including challenge-based Leagues and time-limited Global Events, the latter applying global modifiers to the entire game.

Speaking of comebacks, Dark Zones are returning to their former glory. So, in Division 1, that was not the case. The focus is on rewarding "player-to-player interaction", whether fighting or helping another player out. These are the areas that make up Division 2: Warlords of New York's Lower Manhattan map. The Division 2: Episode 3 releases tomorrow for early access Year 1 pass holders, while it releases on February 19 for everyone else. You won't be missing any particular story beats either, as Ubisoft Massive has designed Warlords of NY to be "an encapsulated narrative experience from the start". If you haven't yet jumped in and fancy checking out what's on offer, the Standard and Ultimate Editions can be purchased for $40 and $60. On top of that, expect four new skills - each one belonging to the four titular Warlords of NY. The post-show talk is now underway on Twitch.
