Northrop postpones Antares rocket launch in Virginia on Sunday

An earlier launch of an Antares rocket, with Cygnus resupply spacecraft on-board, from the Wallops Nasa base in Virginia.

"There's no superstitions", Frank DeMauro, Northrop Grumman vice president and general manager for Tactical Space Systems, told reporters here today.

There's about 75-hundred pounds of research, crew supplies and hardware aboard the spacecraft. There's a 95% chance of good weather for Sunday's launch.

Weather conditions should be 90 percent favorable for the launch, according to official forecasts. Liftoff is scheduled for 5:39 p.m. EST. "For more information about International Space Station, visit here".

The scheduled launch was postponed.

NASA's Wallop's launch range manager for Antares further added that with this launch they do not have any conflicts as NASA's solar orbiter began at 10.30 p.m. EST.

In addition to that hard cheese, there's some hard science riding up to the station on Cygnus NG-13.

China's Q1 smartphone sales may halve due to coronavirus
Oppo sold 6.8 million smartphones, down 20.4 percent year-on-year, and now has a smartphone market share of 17.1 percent in China. TrendForce Company has also lowered its forecast for the production of smartphones for the first quarter of 2020.

For instance, one of the science experiments aboard the now-scrubbed launch was Spectrum-001, an experiment that will study the effects of microgravity on plants and micro-organisms.

A space station delivery from Virginia has been delayed at least four days because of trouble with ground equipment.

Northrop Grumman delayed a space station delivery from Virginia on February 9 because of trouble with ground equipment.

The NG-13 mission is Northrop Grumman's second cargo flight for NASA under the CRS-2 program.

Back in November 2019, Northrop Grumman launched the 12th Cygnus cargo expedition to the International Space Station for the American space agency.
