Modern Warfare Battle Royale Teased in New Season 2 Intro

In the new Modern Warfare Season 2 intro, guess what what's shown?

Rust can be used as a Gunfight map. You can look forward to diverse multiplayer experiences through maps, modes, and an all-new Battle Pass. There are soldiers jumping out of a large aeroplane into a map much bigger than the usual Call of Duty fare, and in the background there's an ominous green mist: presumably the typical battle royale shrinking circle.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season Two will kick off on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 11th February.

He added, "The movie was actually pretty balanced in terms of the shots that it took". But on Tuesday, the studio released a trailer announcing a March 13 release date.

That's not all that is coming in Season Two. This playlist will include the maps, modes, and rulesets found in the game's official competitive esports organisation. In that mode, you'll have to fight off the Infected until time expires, but if you get infected yourself, you'll join the horde as they attempt to kill off the remaining Survivors. Activision and Infinity Ward have finally announced the roadmap that details the flow of content from day one until the upcoming weeks. Fan-favourite character Simon "Ghost" Riley from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 will be available as an Operator, although he's not quite the familiar face people will be expecting, as the new Modern Warfare's version of Ghost definitely sports a different skull mask than the original. All maps and new weapons will still be free for everyone. Ghost is unlocked at Tier 0 in the Battle Pass, but you'll need to reach Tier 15 and Tier 31 to unlock the new assault rifle and SMG, respectively. The British spec-ops officer is linked to the story of Season 2, and he's not the only new Operator joining the ranks.

As far as ranking up in the Battle Pass, Season 2 offers a bunch of new trials including ATV races, a gun course, a live fire exercise, and Pitcher, which is basically cornhole but with frag grenades. Complete each step of a multi-step challenges to earn XP along the way to adding the Lucky Strike to your arsenal. All of this stuff will be available today, with more on the way later in the season. Stay tuned to GameSpot for all the best Modern Warfare coverage, and we'll see you out there.
