Multiple Kingdom Hearts Games Now in Development, One 'Coming Surprisingly Soon'

Announced on Twitter on Wednesday night, Project Xehanort is a new mobile game set in the KH universe.

As revealed on the Kingdom Hearts website, the new free-to-play title is now dubbed Project Xehanort. Square Enix is running a competition to guess the final name of the game, though, which will presumably lead to a variety of amusing entries considering the series features games with titles such as "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue". Square Enix is using the hype created from this content to announce some fresh KH games and spin-offs. It now has a working title of Project Xehanort. If that's something that interests you at all, you can find all the information over on their official site.

Not much is known about the project but we do know that it is a free-to-play app that is slated for a spring 2020 release on iOS, Android, and Amazon. With modern game updates and DLC, Re:MIND and the latest update essentially makes the current KHIII version a Final Mix. This new mobile title could give us a bit of backstory into Xehanot's transition from Keyblade master to the personification of darkness itself. The game will launch in Spring 2020.

Mount Vesuvius eruption victim’s brain turned to glass, new research says
Resembling obsidian stone, they were unlike anything else he had seen, even after studying dozens of other Vesuvius victims. Vitrification is a process by which tissue is burned at a high heat and turned into glass.

We still need some time with regards to main line Kingdom Hearts, but first up, the Kingdom Hearts Union χ team will have a surprising announcement tomorrow. The eagerly-anticipated ReMIND DLC arrives on PS4 today, with Xbox One to follow February 24.

In the meantime, Kingdom Hearts III is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
