Prince Charles Appears to Snub Mike Pence Handshake

In addition to Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and French President Macron, US Vice President Mike Pence, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Britain's Prince Charles and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will address the gathering.

However, according to press secretaries for the Prince of Wales and US Vice President, it isn't what it looks like.

England's Prince Charles shook several hands at an event at the World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem, Israel, on January 23, but not that of US Vice President Mike Pence.

Still, Charles and the Vice President are on opposing sides when it comes to environmental issues, a topic the prince has been passionate about for decades, while Pence is known to have a track record of voting against environmental interests.

But when he came to Pence, the heir to the throne appeared to "snub" the vice president and carry on walking.

Apple Said to Be Eyeing March Launch for low-priced iPhone
The new model might be expected to launch at a similar price to the company's discontinued iPhone SE , which cost closer to €400. If you've somehow missed the constant bombardment of iPhone 9 leaks, here's a quick rundown of what we're expecting right now.

Waldman tweeted a video backstage at the event in Jerusalem, which showed a conversation between Pence, Charles, and Second Lady Karen Pence.

However after Prince Charles made his speech, the pair did not shake hands.

The vice president's staff entered damage-control mode immediately, insisting the video was the exact opposite of what it seemed. However, representatives for the royal family and Pence both pushed back against the characterization there was any snub.

In response to the speculation online, Pence's press secretary Katie Waldman has denied the snub claim. In a statement to the BBC, a royal family spokesperson denied any such ill intention on Charles's part. After saying a few words, the prince then turns away from the couple and speaks to someone behind him.
