OnePlus 8 Pro could feature wireless charging

OnePlus 8 Pro could feature wireless charging

A leakster has posted an image on Twitter which suggests that the OnePlus 8 Pro will launch with this feature. To recall, CEO Pete Lau had said previous year that wireless charging is "far inferior" in terms of technology to be included in the OnePlus 7.

Previously, CEO and co-founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau, said in an interview that OnePlus' fast wired charging technology is already very good; adding that wired is more convenient than wireless.

Now, we cannot get much else from the picture above, but we can safely assume OnePlus would use 30W wireless charging, a technology pioneered by Xiaomi in 2019. The rumor mill is pretty hot that wireless charging will finally make its way with OnePlus 8.

By including wireless charging, OnePlus will only offer you more ways to ensure that your device does not run out of charge, and that is generally positive for all users. The leaks, however, suggests the 120Hz screen will be used on at least one variant of the OnePlus 8 series.

EA ending support for its Tetris games in April
A brand-new Tetris game today landed on iOS - just a day after EA confirmed it is retiring its own lineup of Tetris titles. If you're a big fan of EA's iOS Tetris games, you've got about 90 days to say goodbye to your favourite distractions.

OnePlus 8 Pro to feature wireless charging?

The CAD renders confirmed that the phone will feature a curved AMOLED display, with a punch-hole placed at the top-left corner of the phone. This image was just for demonstration and giving the idea about the technology which is going to launch with OnePlus 8 Pro. The phone reportedly supports a refresh rate of 120Hz along with quad HD+ resolution.

The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform is expected to fuel the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 phones. Its rear camera setup may include a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel main lens, a 20-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a ToF sensor.

It may mean that we see the price of the OnePlus 8 series increase, so it may include this new feature, but we still won't know for sure for a while.
