Bruno Fernandes Move To Manchester United In Jeopardy

Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes will not still be at Sporting Lisbon after the summer and Paul Pogba may decide to leave Old Trafford, according to the players' agents.

United have been locked in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon all month but are yet to reach an agreement on a fee for Fernandes.

Mendes is acting as an intermediary between Sporting and United regarding Fernandes but his words have cast doubt over the Red Devils' ability to get the deal wrapped up in a timely fashion.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Manchester United pulled out of the race to sign Erling Haaland because of his agent Mino Raiola.

"For now he (Pogba) needs to be getting fit and then it is my job to get both parties if possible, happy".

It was previously expected that United would tie up the signing of the Portugal global before the closing of the current window, but the clubs remain a long way apart in terms of the valuation of the player and the structure of the deal.

'Something will happen but I am not sure if now or at the end of the season'. If one of those parties is not happy then there are other ways to resolve that.

"Everyone knows that ambition on both sides has not been achieved in recent years".

"There are other things when you draw players that you have to keep under control". I don't say anything for sure.

"But I saw that he also returned to Manchester United when people didn't think he had returned to Manchester United". Let's face it, let's talk about the elephant in the room. So, he chose not to acknowledge the away fans after full-time in what could be his final game for the club. "Maybe [Alex] Ferguson didn't like that, but he chose Manchester United".

"So in the summer we have to see if Paul is still in Manchester United's plans and whether Manchester United is still in Paul's plans".

Raiola was quoted last month and suggested not to take his players to Old Trafford again as speculation arose about Pogba's future.

"The quotes were a little bit strong, but I think what I meant was Manchester United need to get their project right otherwise there's no sense".

Asked about his relationship with United having told La Repubblica in December he would stop doing business with the club, Raiola added: "It's good".

"I've never spoken to Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer], but my relationship with Ed [Woodward] is transparent".
