Rashford vows to return 'fitter than ever' after back injury

Rashford vows to return 'fitter than ever' after back injury

The 22-year-old, who has scored 19 goals this season, could spend the next three months on the sidelines after suffering a stress fracture in his back but Sanchez will not return to Old Trafford to fill the void.

Sources have told ESPN that the club remain in talks with Sporting Lisbon for midfielder Bruno Fernandes but Solskjaer's need for a forward has intensified after Rashford's injury.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he needs to find a striker signing to cover the absence of Marcus Rashford.

"It's not happened before, it happened there and then".

Probed on whether it will be months rather than weeks, he continued: 'He won't be back until after the mid-season break. He won't be back, I'm not a doctor so I don't know exactly, but we are looking at several weeks and then some rehab after that probably.

Solskjaer also said United could look for a new striker as the window transfer window remains open until January 31. We've had many injuries.

"It might be, because the window is open, we might look at some short-term deals as well that could take us through to the summer".

China plans various bans on use of plastic
Although China is aggressively opposed to single-use plastics , plastic pollution remains a problem worldwide. This is not the first time that China has announced a comprehensive anti-plastic campaign.

"We are not desperately looking". The club also remains alive in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Europa League competitions.

But United must now decide the type of signing they want to make, with their hopes of Champions League qualification in the balance.

Solskjaer added: "The players are giving absolutely everything". I'm disappointed with conceding from a corner and with the last kick - but very many positives'.

"I felt in the second half we performed really well against a good team and at a hard place".

"We've been careful with him (Greenwood) because he's a top player and this is a chance for him".
