Pop Smoke Arrested For Stolen Rolls-Royce

Fans of the rapper know that Pop Smoke is supposed to mean, "to leave".

According to TMZ, the Brooklyn rapper was arrested Friday morning (January 17) on a federal charge of interstate transport of a stolen vehicle after he was caught allegedly transporting a stolen 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith from California. In 2019, Nicki Minaj and Skepta remixed the rapper's breakout song "Welcome to the Party". After the video ended, the tickets did not return and the auto was not returned either.

According to TMZ, the "Welcome to the Party" rapper was arrested Friday morning in NY on a federal charge of interstate transport of a stolen 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith. And just recently, the NY artist was featured on Travis Scott's new Cactus Jack compilation project Jackboys, highlighting the final song "Gatti". In exchange, the rapper would give the owner VIP treatment at his upcoming show.

NY rapper Casanova 2x wants to see Pop Smoke freed. TMZ reports that Pop Smoke met the Rolls-Royce's owner in November at an L.A. recording studio where they agreed that Pop Smoke could use the auto for one of his upcoming videos.

The agreement reportedly required that Pop Smoke return the vehicle the very next day. Pop Smoke, born Bashar Jackson, then took multiple pictures of himself with the vehicle and posted them on his Instagram. The rapper was arrested at John F. Kennedy Airport in NY on his return from Paris Fashion Week. Brooklyn Federal prosecutors are handling the case, and Pop Smoke will be arraigned later this evening.
