Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero was involved in an accident while driving his vehicle near the team's training location in Carrington, Manchester.

Known as a reliable understudy and a key figure for the Argentina national team with 96 senior caps, the shot-stopper made headlines in the United Kingdom this morning. Romero luckily escaped unharmed from the accident, the report has confirmed.

Thankfully, Romero emerged unhurt, and pictures of him standing alongside the wreckage quickly made the rounds on social media as police officers and traffic officials made their way to the site, with many believing the auto is a write-off.

As understudy to David de Gea, the Argentina worldwide has made 53 appearances for United, mainly in cup competitions, since his move from Sampdoria in 2015.

According to the Daily Mail report, Monday (1/20/2020) Romero was not seriously injured as a result of the incident.
