Margot Robbie says pitching ‘Birds of Prey’ was ‘uphill battle’

"It is naturally ingrained in individuals - even if you're the one who must be dictating the selections - that they flip to the closest, eldest male within the room and direct the query at them".

She explained: 'When people are asking a question and I have the answer, they so readily will turn to my producing partners who are guys and ask them. But really, I was just saying we need to do a female ensemble action film. It's a finance thing, so I will ask the guy. But despite her incredible success, Margot still has doubts about her place in the industry.

After leaving the daytime soap, Margot moved to the United States and the "Wolf of Wall Street" star enjoyed getting to make a "fresh start" as no one knew who she was there. It is the societal construction that we have grown knowing.

"I don't think there is one thing where I have said, 'you have nailed it.' I always think, 'you did what you set out to do but you missed the mark here and next time you are going to do it different'".
