Potential Eagles 2020 draft prospect Justin Jefferson leaves LSU for the NFL

Center Lloyd Cushenberry III, left tackle Saahdiq Charles and inside linebacker Patrick Queen announced their decisions to turn pro earlier Wednesday.

Safety Grant Delpit, receiver Justin Jefferson, linebacker and championship game defensive MVP Patrick Queen, linebacker and leading tackler Jacob Phillips and linemen Lloyd Cushenberry all declared for the National Football League draft.

"We just had a flawless year", Jefferson said, according to Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel.

In LSU's 42-25 win over Clemson on Monday night, Queen racked up eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack.

Though it was a collective failure from team India, opener Shikhar Dhawan emerged as great positive for the home side. He struck the first blow with the new ball when he sent back Rohit Sharma for 10.


Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire says he is entering the draft too.

Jefferson a fast and elusive playmaker who caught 111 passes for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns for the nation's No. 1 team. He is a potential first-round pick in the draft.

Queen emerged as a starter at linebacker this season and had a big year, compiling 85 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and three sacks. Phillips (6-4, 233) led the Tigers with 113 total tackles in 2019.

LSU safety JaCoby Stevens won't be joining his teammates in the draft, as announced Wednesday he's staying for his senior year.
