NFL Insider Has The Latest On Jason Garrett’s Future

Jason Garrett is officially no longer under contract with the Dallas Cowboys, effective January 14, and that frees him up to seek employment elsewhere without Jerry Jones' permission following the hiring of Mike McCarthy.

Jason Garrett may end up staying in the NFC East.

The New York Giants still are without an offensive coordinator, but newly hired head coach Joe Judge is making strides in that area with a series of interviews now ongoing.

By hiring Garrett, the Giants would give a been-there done-that sounding board to the 38-year-old Judge, a first-time head coach who will not call any of his own plays. Garrett's contract officially expired Tuesday.

The Giants fired head coach Pat Shurmur on December 30 and hired Joe Judge as his replacement.

Happy that Saif’s ‘Tanhaji’ is being appreciated: Kareena
Earlier, the trailer of the film " Jawaani Jaaneman " was also released, which was well-liked by the people. Meanwhile on work front, Kareena will next be seen in Angrezi Medium with Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan.

It's no surprise that the Giants have a healthy respect for Garrett.

"I certainly wouldn't have any objection to that", Mara said.

Garrett's experience as a head coach could serve as an asset to Judge, who has never been a head coach at any level. McCarthy's staff already includes offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, quarterback coach Doug Nussmeier, offensive line coach Joe Philbin, defensive line coach Jim Tomsula, secondary coach Maurice Linguist, special teams coordinator John Fassel, linebackers coach Scott McCurley and assistant offensive line coach Jeff Blasko.

Garrett had been with the Cowboys since 2007.

On the whole, his nine-plus seasons in Dallas were fruitful from September through December - finishing his Cowboys tenure with a regular season record of 85-67 - but carried a ton of inconsistency from week-to-week, month-to-month and year-to-year.
