McGregor wants Mayweather rematch: 'I know I'd beat Floyd'

Conor McGregor is still disgruntled by his defeat to Floyd Mayweather and the UFC star believes he will take revenge should there be a rematch with the American boxing legend.

Last year, McGregor suggested Mayweather was to blame for the stalling of those talks while boldly claiming he'd come away with the W if he had a chance to box him again, and now, it looks like that may be the only way we'll get to see the two men trade blows a second time. "I probably should [take him down], but I don't think I will".

Mayweather called time on his career after beating McGregor, but he's set to return to action after striking a deal with UFC president Dana White.

"I'd like to rematch Floyd", McGregor said in a sit-down interview with Ariel Helwani. I think we should rematch Floyd.

"I know I'd beat Floyd if we rematched". It was not written, but it was a verbal agreement, right? "Manny, we were actually close to signing [a fight with] Manny".

"And the Paulie fight, I'd love to fight Paulie as well". I'd like to box him.

Cerrone begs to differ, and says he plans to battle McGregor on the feet, even though he understands that going for the takedown would be the wiser decision. "He'd just take people down to control, control, control, so it kind of figured if you didn't knock him out, that was the outcome it was going to be", Cerrone recently told ESPN. I will get a boxing world title.
