For the first couple of months of the season, Joe Pavelski's current team, the Dallas Stars, and his former team, the Sharks, traversed similar paths.

As for Paveslski, fans showered him with a thunderous welcome following a two-minute video tribute before the opening faceoff.

The next Sharks top scorer this season is Center Tomas Hertl with 33 points, followed by Evander Kane and Erik Karlsson with 32 points each.
