Body Of Missing Ohio Teen Found In Chimney Of Unoccupied House

PORT CLINTON, Ohio -Almost a month after Harley Dilly disappeared on his way to school, police believe the Ohio boy's body has been found in a chimney. Police said that Harley Dilly climbed onto the roof of the house, which was around the corner from his Port Clinton home, and tried to enter through the chimney. "This appears to be an accident", Port Clinton Police Chief Robert J. Hickman said during a press conference.

Investigators later went inside the house and found the boy's coat and glasses on the second floor next to the chimney.

Police had already looked at the home, which is a vacant summer home that was being renovated by its owners, who live in Avon, according to Hickman and data from the Ottawa County auditor.

'We were then able to discover what we believe to be Harley, who was caught in the chimney. "The chimney was blocked between the second and first floor, which trapped Harley".

He was seen on video leaving his home on the 500 block of E. 5th Street at 6.08am.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office canceled a search for the teen early Tuesday, stating only that the child had "been recovered".

Vanessa Hudgens, Austin Butler split after eight years
ET chatted with her in August 2018 at the premiere of her film, Dog Days , where she gushed about Butler's high-profile projects. ET has reached out to both Hudgens' and Butler's reps for comment.

"R.I.H. Harley Dilly and fly high, confirmed by the PD both out there and here in my town" she wrote with seven emojis of a crying face.

Police are saying Harley Dilly's death was accidental and foul play does not appear to be a factor.

An autopsy was being performed Tuesday to confirm the body's identity and the cause of death.

Authorities initially thought Dilly may have run away from home because his family had said he would sometimes spend a night away from home when angry.

Volunteers and authorities searched through neighborhoods in the city along Lake Erie with help from K-9 teams and helicopters.

Investigators say that they wanted to search the area again in an attempt to find Harley.
