Cleveland Browns hire Kevin Stefanski as new head coach

The Cleveland Browns have found their next head coach in Kevin Stefanski and the former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator is looking to fill out his staff with capable coaches.

Stefanski is the third youngest head coach in the National Football League behind Sean McVay and Zac Taylor.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kevin as the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns", co-owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam said. Adam has been the team's linebackers coach for the past six seasons. He also had success in developing quarterback Kirk Cousins over the past two years, and the Browns are counting on him to help Baker Mayfield, who had a disappointing second season. "We're really looking forward to moving out here and getting situated in Cleveland and the adventure of it all".

Stefanski said: "From my professional level, I just could not be more eager to get to work with this group".

Browns insider Dustin Fox is "hearing" that longtime defensive coordinator Wade Phillips and Eagles vice president Andrew Berry will be in Cleveland. I think we have some really good players here. I also think we want somebody who is a continuous learner and somebody who is trying to get better all the time. I can't wait to get started. He and Stefanski worked together from 2011-18 with the Vikings.

The Browns tweeted a picture that showed Stefanski signing his contract.
