Prince William: Harry and I are now separate entities

Prince William: Harry and I are now separate entities

Harry's father Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, and his elder brother Prince William, will also attend the meeting, due to take place on Monday at the queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk, eastern England, a Buckingham Palace source said. Harry and Meghan spent the holidays in Canada with 8-month-old son Archie in tow.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set for crunch talks about their future roles with the Queen and the Duke of Cambridge at Sandringham on Monday.

The queen - who was reportedly caught off-guard by last week's announcement - acknowledged that she would have "preferred" for the duke and duchess to maintain their royal roles, but said she is "supportive" of their change in plan.

Ingrid Seward, the Queen's biographer, adds: "It's deliberately very vague and doesn't tell us much apart from Harry and Meghan have won the first round". The consultations, which also included the British and Canadian governments, paved the way for a face-to-face meeting between Harry and the queen.

While the statement didn't name the article in question, Page Six speculates that the response is in reference to a Times of London report titled Princes 'Fell Out Because William Wasn't Friendly Towards Meghan.' In the article, various sources claim that a rift between the princes is to blame for Megxit, the origin of which dates back to before Prince Harry and Markle Wednesday in May 2018.

Serena Williams adds another trophy to her collection
The Australian Open begins on 20 January, with Williams bidding to equal Margaret Court's record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles. It is the 38-year-old's first singles title since she won the Australian Open in 2017 and her 73rd WTA title overall.

As her statement notes, finances were also on the agenda, as Harry and Meghan's announcement shared that they meant to become "financially independent".

"For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful", they said in a joint statement. The couple have already faced criticism for the perception they plan to "monetize" their royal title, Berthelsen said on Monday.

"These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days", she said.

Inside sources told People magazine the meeting is to serve as an opportunity to "talk things through". On Sunday, an op-ed written by ITV News journalist Tom Bradby suggested the Duke and Duchess could partake in a "full, no-holds-barred, sit-down interview".

This news sent shock waves across the United Kingdom when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex finally made an official announcement after months of speculation about them moving away from UK.
