Lakers top Thunder 125-110 without LeBron, Anthony Davis

The Lakers will now head back to Los Angeles for a two-game homestand against Orlando and Cleveland, feeling mighty good about sweeping back-to-back trip against two teams currently in the playoff picture. Los Angeles shot 51.5% to win its eighth in a row.

The short-handed Lakers face a Thunder team that has won 11 of 13 games and rolled past the Houston Rockets on Thursday night. Without both of the stars against the Thunder, Kuzma finished with 36 points. The Thunder went cold from the field to end the quarter and the Lakers bench helped the team go into the second quarter up 41-19.

In Friday night's win in Dallas, Los Angeles scored 45 points in the opening frame without Anthony Davis. The Lakers later included James on their injury report, with flu-like symptoms.

Davis, who leads the Lakers with 27.1 points per game, sat out for his second straight game with a gluteus maximus contusion.

James played on Friday night and had 35 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

But James couldn't battle through it Saturday on the second of a back-to-back. However, Kuzma recently spoke about playing more helping him get into a better rythum on the court. However, the Lakers could use Davis at the center position more to get Kuzma minutes at the power forward position.

With three starters out, Lakers coach Frank Vogel said before the game, "We expect to win". Danny Green didn't play because of a sore right hip.

Much like the beginning of the game, Rondo had complete control of the offense as he was able to score five quick points and assisted on an Avery Bradley three that extended the Lakers lead.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari each scored 24 points for Oklahoma City.
