Having said that, Facebook's new website will also have a dark mode and light mode. It's unclear when we can expect the Facebook app for iOS to add support for dark mode.

When Facebook first spoke about the redesign previous year, it referred to the new look as FB5 (or Facebook version 5). This means the News Feed will be featured less, which is probably good news for users overall.

Earlier in Facebook noted that in the new version of the social networking app for mobile devices can integrate messenger into one program and not download additional utility. If you are chosen for this beta test, you will see a prompt asking you to make the change, but as CNET notes, you will still have the option to revert to the old design.

However, it's now January 2020, and the redesigned desktop experience is still missing in action.

Also, while Jio claims to offer the service across over 150 handset models, it isn't available for all mobile phones . Users, however, need to connect to a Wi-Fi network to avail the benefits of the new development.

According to CNET, the media company stated that it intends to roll the update out more broadly before this spring.

In the meantime, when the "small percentage" of people who can access this new feature sign in to Facebook for the first time, they'll see a pop-up inviting them to help test what the company calls "The New Facebook".

Facebook is calling the redesign "The New Facebook" and users will have the option to choose between white and bright color backgrounds for the Facebook desktop site or a dark-mode background under the redesign. If they don't like it, users can now revert back to the old look, as well as offer feedback and flag bugs.
