Bye, Ricky Gervais: Amy Poehler, Tina Fey to host 2021 Golden Globes

Poehler announced they would be returning while onstage at NBCUniversal's Televison Critics Assn. press tour Saturday (11 January).

SNL vets Poehler and Fey have maintained strong ties to the Peacock.

"NBC has always been home to two of the funniest people on the planet-Tina Fey and Amy Poehler-and we didn't want to wait any longer to share the great news that they'll be hosting the Globes once again", said Teledgy.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are returning to host the Golden Globes in 2021. All told, this will be Fey and Poehler's fourth time hosting the ceremony and here's hoping they can take and pass Gervais' record.

ARE YOU EXCITED to see Tina Fey and Amy Poehler back at the hosts? The ladies, who last hosted the awards show in 2015, will be taking the hosting duties from this year's host Ricky Gervais, who hosted a total of five times.

No date has yet been announced for the 2021 edition of the Golden Globe Awards. There is still no decision yet on a host for the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards.

ABC confirmed earlier this week that the Academy Awards telecast on February 9 will go without a host for the second year in a row.

After this year's monologue featuring Ricky Gervais attempting to torch half of Hollywood, it should come as no surprise that he wasn't going to be asked for next year's Golden Globes.
