One dead, 3 hurt in stabbings at OR shopping center

Sufferers are told to have been targeted in a Wells Fargo bank and at a Planet Fitness gym.

Three people were stabbed near the Murray Hill shopping center in Beaverton Wednesday morning, according to Beaverton Police. "This was a horrific crime, and our hearts go out to those victims and their families", Beaverton Police Chief Ronda Groshong told reporters.

He has been arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and robbery. He's identified as 20-year-old Salvador Martinez-Romero.

The conditions of the two victims are under medical care and are undergoing treatment.

New All Blacks coaches John Plumtree and Greg Feek confirmed
New Zealand head coach Ian Foster has added Hurricanes boss John Plumtree and former All Black Greg Feek to his coaching team. For a young coach, he brings vast worldwide experience.

Authorities say two women were attacked inside of the bank and two others were stabbed as the suspect stole both of their cars in separate attempts.

Officers captured Martinez-Romero a short time later as he left the second vehicle Southwest Pacific Highway and Southwest Dartmouth Street and fled on foot toward Westside Christian, putting the high school on lockdown, according to authorities.

Authorities originally planned to arraign Martinez-Romero out of public view within the jail for security reasons, but Circuit Judge Rebecca Guptill said she monitored his status throughout the day and made a decision to move the hearing to the public courtroom at the Washington County Law Enforcement Center.

"We are deeply saddened that an incident at our Murrayhill Marketplace branch in Beaverton resulted in the senseless death of one of our customers and injuries sustained by others. Our thoughts are also with the innocent people who witnessed this heinous crime".
