Get your umbrella and galoshes ready, because rainy weather is coming our way.

We will first have to deal with drenching rain, which will start falling lightly Friday afternoon but get heavy at times Friday night into early Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Sun: High: 31 Cloudy; some light freezing drizzle possible. Around 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain is expected in most of the state as rainfall becomes more powerful at night.

Warmer air should drift in by mid-morning on Tuesday, changing the precipitation back to rain, the weather service said in its Friday forecast discussion.

The weather service says "brief minor flooding" could occur in vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline, and motorists should not drive through flooded roads. "This will bring the potential for flooding, which will continue through the weekend on some rivers as a result of runoff".

We struggled at the beginning of the game with their high press, but after about 15 minutes we reacted and looked better from there on in.

Also Friday morning, a flood watch has been issued from Rhode Island to ME for several inches of rain that will fall on frozen ground, which could create flooding.

Saturday looks a little wet at times, but it's not going to rain you out!

Cape Cod and the Islands will deal with 15 to 30 miles per hour winds and gusts reaching up to 50 miles per hour. Watch out for areas of fog, too.

"A period of strong winds is also expected on Saturday across the Cape and Islands", forecasters wrote.

DRY END TO THE WEEKEND: Breezy conditions quickly move in Sunday, with partly-to-mostly sunny skies throughout the day.
