Frightening moment IL player ACCIDENTALLY levels an official with celebratory fist pump

As seen in the game footage, Cockburn's fist or elbow appears to have connected with the forehead of Garrison, who crumbled to the hardwood.

Bezhanishvili said the team paid strict attention to its scouting reports after last week's let-down against Miami, and recognized Wolverines plays, in real time, as they were called from the MI bench. "You take opportunities when they're there", Underwood said. After all, he ended up with 19 points and 10 rebounds against the number 5 in the country.

The Illini outscored the Wolverines, 44-26 in the paint. "The whole entire team knew the play because we were really dialed in, watched a lot of film".

Ayo Dosunmu added 14 points, Andres Feliz had 13 and Giorgi Bezhanishvili 12 for IL (7-3, 1-1 Big Ten).

IL was actually worse than MI from three-point range, converting only one of eleven attempts. IL also dominated scoring in the paint, putting up 44 points to Michigan's 26. The Illini dominated the glass with similar numbers, winning the rebound battle 44-28.

Teske led the Wolverines with nine points, while Simpson dished out three assists and Johns Jr. grabbed three rebounds in the first half.

U.S. retail sales grow below expectations in November
A China-U.S. trade deal that avoids tariffs on consumer goods should come as a welcome relief to U.S. retailers. Online sales have jumped 11.5% in the past year, almost quadruple the overall increase in retail sales.

Coming out of halftime, IL (7-3, 1-1 Big Ten) continued to build on its lead, pushing it to a 10-point advantage, 55-44, with nine minutes to play.

However, Cockburn also sparked a scary moment at the State Farm Center when he accidentally punched an official square in the head while celebrating.

After the game, Cockburn asked the media if they had an update on Garrison's status.

"In that moment, you know, we were winning and we were up, and it was basically me being passionate, you know, about the game", Cockburn said.

Garrison eventually walked off the court with assistance, while the other two referees handled the remainder of the game, according to The Post-Standard's Mike Waters. I went and told him after the game that I was sorry. This was Big Ten basketball at its finest. MI is now 8-2 overall, and also 1-1 in conference.

U-M will be back in action Saturday (Dec. 14) when it returns to Crisler Center for a non-conference contest against No. 10-ranked Oregon.
