West Ham United vs. Arsenal - Football Match Report

Arsenal fans have suggested that youngster Bukayo Saka could play a new role against Standard Liège following news of Kieran Tierney's injury.

The Spaniard was sacked after a less than impressive start to the season, with Freddie Ljungberg taking over as interim manager.

The Gunners drew with Norwich in their first game with Ljungberg in charge, before losing to Brighton.

Pepe had not scored from open play until the West Ham game and the Ivorian global was responsible for the second goal before Aubameyang sealed the three points for Arsenal with his 11th Premier League goal of the season and that was the first win for Arsenal after nine matches without a single victory in all competitions.

Though, that win has certainly taken its toll.

Arsenal have confirmed Kieran Tierney dislocated his shoulder in Monday's 3-1 win over West Ham, as a lengthy absence beckons.

While we are all still waiting on the updates but the Arsenal summer signing will most certainly not be risked against Standard Liege since, like Bellerin, he too has just returned back from an injury.

Scotland global Tierney signed from Celtic in August for a reported £25million to bolster the left side of their defence, but his impact has been minimal due to injuries.

Granit Xhaka suffered concussion after being struck by the ball and is definitely absent for both games.

- The Daily Mail also claims Leicester City have opened contract talks with rumoured Manchester City target Caglar Soyuncu, who has been in good form this season.

Hector Bellerin was withdrawn from the line-up ahead of kick-off with a tight hamstring and will not travel to Belgium, with his place against City also in doubt.
