National Football League announces 32 nominees for '19 Man of Year

For the second year in a row, Andrew Whitworth has been nominated for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Fans are encouraged to participate in Nationwide's 5th annual Charity Challenge, a social media campaign created to support and promote team nominees.

It's Week 15 of "Big Game Bound", and we have a special edition of the show as the National Football League has just named the finalists for the 2019 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Each team's award victor is then a finalist for the league's award of Walter Payton Man of the Year, which is the highest honor for work in the community.

Wall Street hit fresh record highs for the first time in a fortnight on the back of the President's tweet and the media reports. EDT on Thursday, WTI Crude was up 1 percent at US$59.35 and Brent Crude was trading up 1.13 percent at US$64.44.

It's an award that was first established in 1970, but in 1999 after his passing was renamed in the honor of the great Payton, known as "Sweetness" and as much for his phenomenal rushing on the gridiron as for his humanitarian ways away from it.

The victor of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award will be announced on February 1 during Super Bowl festivities. He has also been extremely active on the community service front, giving his time and energy to causes like The Salvation Army and Make-a-Wish Foundation of North Texas. He spent the entire 2018 season making a recovery from Guillain-Barre Syndrome and returned to the field in 2019.

Frederick's Blocking Out Hunger Foundation is dedicated to providing support for children in the Dallas area who struggle with hunger. The other nominees receive a donation of $50,000 apiece.

Each nominee will receive a donation of up to $50,000 for the charity of their choice. Winners of the award- like Jason Witten in 2012- get a Man of the Year patch that they wear on their jersey for the duration of their playing career. Votes must contain #WPMOYChallenge followed by the player's last name.
