Cape Town - After making her first TV appearance as Miss Universe on Good Morning America, newly crowned Zozibini Tunzi visited the Empire State Building on Tuesday. "People keep calling me Miss Universe and I keep looking away because I think that I forgot that it is me, but I feel fantastic", said Tunzi.

The 26-year-old beauty queen told host Michael Strahan that she was still getting used to the title. Tunzi responded: "Leadership." She then received deafening applause from the live audience as she specifically called out how society has historically labeled young girls and women. "That is what we should be teaching these young girls to take up space".

A curious tweet from a Swedish account sought to compare Tunzi (Miss South Africa 2019) with her Swedish counterpart Lina Ljungberg, who was one of the more than 60 contestants vying for the crown.

For Tunzi, winning the Miss Universe 2019 competition was more than just a personal career highlight.

"BPCI is proud to have held the license since 1964 and would like to thank the fifty five (55) winners who were sent to the Miss Universe pageant to participate".

Gray arrived in Manila at 4:59 a.m. Wednesday, days after the 68th Miss Universe coronation night in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. "Although I've traveled back to the Philippines during this year, now it's really a homecoming trip because my reign as Miss Universe has ended", she said.
