John Properties employees receive $10M in bonuses

An American company has gifted its employees with $USD10 million worth of bonuses at its annual Christmas party.

One of the largest commercial real estate firms in the mid-Atlantic has announced they have chose to surprise their 198 employees with abig fat $10 million bonus check.

That breaks down to $50,000 per employee, but the bonus will vary based on years of service.

"I am thankful for every one of our employees, for their hard work and dedication", said founder Edward St. John in the release.

The bonuses were based on the number of years the employees had been at the company.

The announcement was caught on video. "It is life-changing".

But even if a deal is struck, economic growth is expected to continue slowing in the current and coming quarters. Retail pork prices hovered at around 55 yuan ($7.81) per kg in November, according to agriculture ministry data.

"When I opened the envelope, I was in total disbelief", Stephanie Ridgway, an assistant project manager at the company said.

The smallest amount of KSh 10,155 was for an employee who was just hired and had not even started at the company yet.

St. John Properties react to the news they will receive a shared $10 million bonus. "And we wanted a big way to thank them and I think we were successful in doing that", Mr Maykrantz said.

Maykrantz was one of only four employees in the entire company who knew about the surprise.

The bonus was given in recognition of the company meeting a major goal.

And the chairman continued: "I may steer the boat, but they're the ones that run the boat". Sure, the St. John bonus is one zero less, but it's fair to say it still beats that Starbucks gift card. "We pride ourselves on that".
